This has been our experience at Grandview, a church committed to building a community of believers and not just a weekend crowd. In small groups, people can experience what it means to be part of God's family. When connected to a group, people can be transformed from seat warmers to workers, from casual Christians to fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. It's not easy to "play church" in the intimacy of a small group.

Personal growth does not happen in isolation. In small groups, people can get close enough to care and share, challenge and support, confide and confess, forgive and be forgiven. Every group's goal is to help its members to love God completely and others sacrificially. We make a big deal about small groups because we've learned how crucial they are to a healthy Christian community.
