Jesus was once asked to sum up the law, to which he replied that the totality of law could be summed up in two commands. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." At Grandview, we see this as our mission and mandate: to love our neighbors is part of what it means to be a missional church.

For Grandview this means being intentional about reaching out locally. We see every part of our lives as an opportunity for mission and we see all followers of Christ as missionaries. Living this intentional missional lifestyle means reaching out to those we interact with everyday and to our community as a whole. This means that we are committed to using our whole lives and all of our resources as tools for mission in God's kingdom, but it also means we will be intentional and strategic so that as a community we might 'reach out' more effectively. Below are the four strategic ways our Reaching Locally Team have identified to help equip our church to be on mission with Christ in our local setting.

1. We will help provide opportunities for individuals and small groups to reach out to our local community with the holistic gospel of Christ on a regular basis.

2. We will be intentional about forming long term strategic partnerships with local organizations or geographical areas within the KW area that will allow us to make a lasting and tangible difference in our local community.

3. We will be intentional about maintaining a consistent emphasis on living 'missional' lives that constantly look for God's kingdom in our everyday interactions and see our families, neighbors, and co-workers as people we can serve as we spread Christ's transforming love around.

4. We will work towards a greater awareness and emphasis towards being socially aware of local needs and issues.
