"What is the difference between being a member and just attending?"

Many people ask "Why should I become a member of Grandview?" or "What is the difference between being a member and just attending?" These are good questions. You might never be a member of a church and still be a true follower of Jesus Christ.

However, this is what membership does say: "I belong to the Grandview family." By becoming a member, you fully identify yourself with the Grandview fellowship of believers. Membership has its privileges: you will begin to feel 100% part of what is happening at Grandview, and should you have the gift of leadership, you will be able to be a team leader in a minstry area that matches your gifts and ministry passion.

The process of becoming a member of Grandview

Discover what membership at Grandview is all about and have your questions answered by attending Grandview's Membership Class. The next class is Sunday, March 14 2010 at 9am & 10:45am with Pastor Doug Martin. If you have any questions about Membership you can contact Doug at dmartin@grandviewchurch.ca or 519-894-5513 x 241.

Submitting your membership application online

Download your Membership Application and Church Family Survey or pick one up at the Welcome Centre.

Step 1:

Simply fill out and submit your Membership Application and Church Family Survey. Each member of your family must submit their own membership form. Please read What We Believe before submitting.

Step 2:

At Grandview we offer a membership class for those interested in learning more about how to become a voting member in our Grandview family. The classes are offered on a regular basis and are advertised in our church bulletin, the weekly email the "View", and on our website. This class is a requirement for church membership.

Step 3:

After attending the class, someone from the church leadership will contact you to set up a time to hear your story in the comfort of your own home or at the church - your choice.

Step 4:

A Grandview leader will contact you to let you know when your membership application has been processed. We look forward to having you serve alongside us in the Grandview Family.
