Small Group Worship

In Acts 2:42-47, we get a glimpse of what the early church was like:

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles... Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

The earliest church had large group worship in the temple courts AND small group worship in homes! They met in the temple courts, but were free to devise their own worship forms in smaller groups.

Consider talking to your small group about how you can worship together. Be creative - it might be a special prayer time where you simply exalt Christ together. If your group likes music, sing worship songs together (song booklets, CD's and guitar charts are available through Small Group Ministries). Worship through service to your community. Or, find other fresh, undiscovered ways with your group to attribute worth to God.
