Bob and his wife, Lorraine, have been attending Grandview since 1972, the year they were married. Their four children grew up in Grandview, but now live in other cities. Over the years he has served in a variety of roles including small group ministry and adult education. Bob is an actuary. He retired from Mutual Life/Sun Life after 40 years of service, but he continues to work as a consultant and as a volunteer.
Stan Fowler and his wife, Donna, have been members at Grandview since 1993, when they moved here from Toronto. They have been married for 47 years, and they have four children and six grandchildren. Stan is a professor of theology at Heritage Seminary, and he served two pastorates prior to his full-time academic career. He has served as an elder during most of his years at Grandview. If you wonder why you haven't seen him at church recently, it is likely because he is preaching at other churches.
Michael has been attending Grandview since 1994 and became a Christian in 1995. He and his wife, Kathy, had two children, now 19 and 16. She passed away in 2011 and Michael married Dayna in 2014. Over the years he has served as a sound technician, usher, greeter and librarian. Michael works as a senior IT Technician for the WRDSB. In the summer he likes to ride his motorcycle and manage one of our men’s slo-pitch teams. Winters see him curling and dreaming of the Maple Leafs winning a Stanley Cup…
Tony and his wife Bethany were married in 2006 and joined the Grandview family in the autumn of 2007. They live in historic downtown Kitchener and are the proud parents of Benjamin James, born in 2017. As a former worship leader and service director, Tony has spent most of his ministry life serving in the Worship & Creative Arts Department. Armed with his unique sense of humour, he is always working on a project somewhere within the community at Grandview and has a passion for mentoring young leaders. Professionally, Tony enjoys a career in the food industry as a Director for Loblaw Companies Ltd.
Jim and his wife Fay have been attending Grandview since 1994. They have two married children and two grand puppies. In the past Jim has served in Men’s Ministry, in Small Group Ministry, on the Refugee Team, as an usher, as treasurer, on the Pastor Search Team and as an elder. He is a faculty member at the University of Waterloo’s School of Accounting and Finance. In his spare time he enjoys road cycling and fly fishing.
Ian and his wife, Patricia, have been attending Grandview since 2015. They have four grown children and ten grandchildren. One of these sons John and his family attend the church as well. Ian leads a Life Group and has served in two pastorates in the Fellowship and currently owns a projection business for churches. He enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and reading.
Andrew and his wife Lauren joined Grandview in early 2015 and live in Kitchener with their pet rabbit Marbee. Andrew has been involved with the worship & creative arts ministry playing guitar and singing alongside his wife on Sunday mornings. Andrew works as a mechanical engineer in the construction industry at WalterFedy, just a short walk from his home. Andrew’s sense of humour and patient demeanour mean he is always ready to lend a hand. Always smiling and ready to listen, he is passionate about the various communities in which he is involved. Andrew also enjoys camping (trying to get his wife to join him), and often has his nose in a book.
