Jim and his wife Fay have been attending Grandview since 1994. They have two married children and two grand puppies. In the past Jim has served in Men’s Ministry, in Small Group Ministry, on the Refugee Team, as an usher, as treasurer, on the Pastor Search Team and as an elder. He is a faculty member at the University of Waterloo’s School of Accounting and Finance. In his spare time he enjoys road cycling and fly fishing.
Doug and his wife Michelle have been attending Grandview since September 1998, and became members shortly after. He has served at Grandview as an usher, leader in AWANA, DC4K, LifeGroup and Men's ministries, and as a Sunday school teacher. Doug was a software developer for over 20 years, and now manages a team serving Ontario's universities and is involved in training others in his field. Doug loves to laugh and enjoys conversation over a good cup of coffee. He loves to listen and hear peoples' stories, and desires to help where there is a need.
Alex and his wife, Jess, have been attending Grandview since 2013. They have one child, Malcolm. Alex is currently serving with Grandview's church plant, Heritage Grace Church. He has previously served in Grandview's Life Group and High School Student Ministries. Alex is an actuary at Sun Life and, in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, road cycling, and running.
Ian and his wife, Patricia, have been attending Grandview since 2015. They have four grown children and ten grandchildren. One of these sons John and his family attend the church as well. Ian leads a Life Group and has served in two pastorates in the Fellowship and currently owns a projection business for churches. He enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and reading.
Jeff De Haan
After his conversion experience in 2008, Jeff and his wife Tracy began attending Grandview and now live close by the church with their two children and pets. Jeff has found fulfillment serving in a variety of roles at Grandview including the Men's Ministry, small discipleship groups and ushering. He is a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Area Gideon Chapter, distributing God's Word throughout our region since 2012 and has served on the local leadership team for most of that time. Jeff works in the air navigation service industry and enjoys looking through the "long-grass" for his golf ball from time to time.
Stan Fowler and his wife, Donna, have been members at Grandview since 1993, when they moved here from Toronto. They have been married for 47 years, and they have four children and six grandchildren. Stan is a professor of theology at Heritage Seminary, and he served two pastorates prior to his full-time academic career. He has served as an elder during most of his years at Grandview. If you wonder why you haven't seen him at church recently, it is likely because he is preaching at other churches.
Don and his wife Moni along with their three adult children have been attending Grandview since 2016. During this time Don has been involved with Men’s Ministry and in leading a Life Group and helping out in Kids Club from time to time. He works as an optometrist both in Kitchener and in New Hamburg and enjoys woodworking, traveling, and camping. As a family, they enjoy spending time together and are always looking forward to the next road trip.
Ernest and his wife, Margaret, have been attending Grandview since 2006. They have three grown children. Ernest is currently serving in a leadership position at the Centerville Chicopee Community Center and as a council member of the Waterloo Immigration Partnership. Ernest is the Director of the Medical Physics Department at Grand River Cancer Centre and involved in the research, design and implementation of new radiation treatment techniques for cancer patients. He holds adjunct professor positions at the Department of Physics and Astronomy and Department of Systems Design Engineering, University of Waterloo and Department of Clinical Studies, University of Guelph
Andrew and his wife Lauren joined Grandview in early 2015 and live in Kitchener with their pet rabbit Marbee. Andrew has been involved with the worship & creative arts ministry playing guitar and singing alongside his wife on Sunday mornings. Andrew works as a mechanical engineer in the construction industry at WalterFedy, just a short walk from his home. Andrew’s sense of humour and patient demeanour mean he is always ready to lend a hand. Always smiling and ready to listen, he is passionate about the various communities in which he is involved. Andrew also enjoys camping (trying to get his wife to join him), and often has his nose in a book.
Ryan and his wife Lynne have attended Grandview since 2007. They have three children ages 8, 9 and 11. Ryan has served with the Junior High ministry and on the worship ministries team. Most recently he has been involved in the Church Plant with Heritage Grace where he is leading a discipleship group. Ryan is a clinical social worker. During his spare time he enjoys time with family, playing music with friends and almost all sports.
